Yeah... About that...

A couple of you are wondering why I don't update. The answer is quite simple:

Nobody fucking reads. I got tired of making HUGE posts and getting a piddly 3 comments by people going "HI DAVID LOL" or something. I don't blame you. Hell, I don't read other peoples xangas. I tried, but got bored and moved on. Anyways. There really is nothing to say about me... Anything going on, no body wants nor needs to hear. I really find this place pointless... Look, here's the deal. If a SIGNIFICANT amount of people petition for me to come back, noting that they ENJOY my posts, then SURE, I'll come back. Why the hell not?

I'll leave you with this piece of advice that I've learned recently:
Internet relationships SUCK. NEVER EVER EVER get into one, even if you're just messing around and playing with the other person's feelings. You get into a lot of shit.

Good News For People Who Love Bad News

Short post today, me heaties. I'm not feeling very talkative...

The music is something is a band that I've been listening to for a good while now and it's only been recently that I've rediscovered the depth and insight in their songs. I know I say this a lot, but their older stuff is even better than what's playing, but this is the first music video they've made, so I was obligated to play it. I'm sure you've all heard this song before, it was all over the radio a while ago. The video must have taken a SHITLOAD of editting to make. But it makes the song even more complex when you couple the visuals with the lyrics. If you like this song even the least, I urge you to check out their other stuff. They're one of the only real smooth feel-good intellectual bands that I'm addicted to. And for good reason.

Pretty soon I'm going to be going to a psychologist. I've no idea how much it will help as opposed to talking with a friend, but my parents say it's worth a try. I always wonder how the hell some old guy can relate to a clinically depressed issue-ridden teenager. I guess I'll find out... or not. Right now, nothing seems like it would help. I think I'm getting worse. But... yeah. It doesn't matter. It seems to me like all of this is temporary and meaningless anyways. Makes you wonder if it's worth waiting for the world to crush you or to do it yourself... It's easy to convince yourself of the latter when you feel as useless as I do.

The Curse

So, I gots lots of... how you say... le
updates fehr yoo. Zey ah vehdyvehdy... how you say... good. Bon apetite! (Side note: Please do not eat my updates)

The first, foremost and bestest part of this update centers around an event so explosively awesome, your head will implode and explode simultaneously at a rate so rapid that it will cut through the fabric of time and create a warp hole through space to a dimension without ears and then we'd all be like old people saying, "Eh?!" to each other like we're in some sort of freakish Canadian HELL! OH GAWD!
Yeah, that was just a taste. A taste of what, you might ask? I taste of CHAOS. Yes, I went to the Taste of Chaos tour on Thursday and it was the best concert I have ever been to and perhaps one of the top highlights of my life. The bands playing were Dredg, As I Lay Dying, Atreyu, Story of the Year, Thrice and The Deftones. Each and every one of them was mind-blowingly amazing, but I shall review them each in order to give you an idea of just how great this experience was.

#6: The Deftones: It wasn't that they were bad, it's just that they aren't really our style. To tell you the truth, we didn't even stay for their performance, so I can't really tell you much about them. Damn, it's the second time in a row that we've left a concert without seeing the headlining band...
#5: Thrice: Though some of their songs (mostly their older stuff, ie- "Image of the Invisible") was Grade A kick-ass, it was kind of hard to get into their newer stuff, thus placing them next to last on my scale of awesomeness. However, I probably would have seen them in concert had they been the only band anyways, so they still were pretty good.
#4: As I lay Dying: Their songs were really great. They are the masters of mosh and the original screamo hardcore rockers. I want to get their CD after seeing them in concert. The main singer was absolutely insane on stage, with the long hair and stuff. He climbed on top of the amps and stuff. And the lights strobed so much during their performance, I half expected most of the audience to convulse uncontrollably on the ground all around us. Haha, that'd be funny.
#3: Dredg: Now, I've been a fan of them for the longest of times, and had there not been more awesomeness in store, this band definitely would have made first place. The sad part is that they played first at a hardcore/screamo concert, and for those of you that know them, they are none of these. The crowd was not riled up by then. I felt a bit bad for them... Ah, well. Man, that guy can sing. I really need to put some MV's of them on here. I got them to sign my ticket. If you have not already heard them, you must. They are AMAZING.
#2: Story of the Year: I liked this band before, I practically worship this band now. I bought a poster from them and got each of their signatures, and now it is slowly pumping extreme coolness through the walls of my room. For those of you who don't know them, they are a heavy rock/screamo band that feature some very good singing, rivetting guitar licks and masterfully done lyrics. You are hereby ordered under punishment of law to listen to them... NOW!
#1: Atreyu: There is no words to discribe how great this band is. If I worshiped Story of the Year, then I give my soul to this band (okay, just kidding... That sounds pretty creepy). But honestly, their live performance is ... [insert word that is of a higher magnitude than any positive adjective]. For those of you who know my obsession with Coheed & Cambria, this band is almost on the same rank as them, that's how much I love them. It was during their songs that I first moshed, and what a mosh it was. The first time was just a big circle of crazy pushing and shoving and it was weird but still fun to push people. I got blocked from leaving the pit by a big dude, while Matt hurt his collarbone, so we tried again later, and it was better. The second time, it was a whirlpool of people going around and it literally felt like I was flying. My body was weightless because of me being propelled by other people's force. I did not want to leave. So I got them to sign a poster also and it is radiating waves of pure hard-rocking greatness throughout my house. Yes, they are the band in my current music video. Even though it is amazing, it does not even begin to show how [insert previously used adjective] they are in concert. This is one is called "The Crimson." It's like estacy without the holes in my brain. Speaking of drugs, there was much pot being smoked right next to me. It made me kinda crazy, heh... No, I did not smoke it.

Whew! That was a long explanation. But hey, I'm going to remember it for the rest of my life, I need to tell people. I got an Atreyu T-shirt to comemorate the occasion. I will be pimpin in awesomeness when I wash the pot smell out of it. Now on to the ironically minor occasion in my life, Prom 2006.

Yes, my overly-rich and spoiled school went to Union Station for our Prom. My date, Courtney, looked and was great and dinner at Macaroni Grill was entertaining and fun (I drew many fun pictures on the table with crayons. I wuv drawing... ^_^), but the actual Prom seemed... pointless. The music was echo-y and retarded, and the only other choice was the fruite and chocolate fountain which was... gross tasting. Needless to say, we were not there very long at all. It almost seemed like a waste of money. Ah, well. At least I will not spend the rest of my existence wondering what I missed... (Okay, I wouldn't have been THAT obsessed...)

I'd like to rant a bit about how I've been feeling lately, but I think I already took up too much of your time from my crazy concert speech up there. I'll leave it for next time.

"In other news, scientists today discovered that the universe is exactly eighteen years old and all the evidence to the contrary is 'an obvious ploy by God to trick us. It is our theory that godhood is very boring.' In sports, it was revealed that you are not being honest with yourself if you like to watch wrestling and think you're straight."                                       ~8-bit Theatre

Hey guys! I invented my own penis game!

Mood: Slightly uncaring, amused, indifferent

*EDIT:* If you missed the Music Video that was playing when I posted this, you can see it here.
Artist: Foo Fighters
Song: All My Life
*/EDIT*

Okay, I've put these amazing music videos on my site for a reason people. I mean, I really really appreciate the noticeably more heartfelt comments, but come on! Tell me what you think of them! I wanna hear about that too! This one is from a band I started to listen to again, Foo Fighters. This is just one of those awesome feel-good videos without a super deep meaning or interpretation like the last. I like both kinds if the band can pull it off correctly. And Foo Fighters did.

So I saw this movie the other day: Waiting. It is the funniest movie you will ever see. That's where I got the title from the post from, just in case you all were a little freaked out. It's got sex, it's got violence, it's got crude humor, it's got a shit-load of cursing. What more could you ask for? No really, though. It's hysterical. Go watch.

So I've decided that working at Michael's Arts and Crafts royally sucks. You'd think that being and artist, it would be amazing and I would have little birdies and bumblebees flying to my shoulder ever time I went to work. No. Just no. Let me list why just no:
1) My boss really hates me because I show up late all the time. (not my fault)
2) He thinks that I come into work high and that I binge on alchohol and illegal drugs when I'm not at work. Why? Dunno. Probably because I wear dark clothing.
3) All I ever do is either a) bring returned goods back to their original spot, b) bring new goods to the spot where they are supposed to be, c) go through the store and find things that are out of place and put them where they are supposed to be, and if I'm really really lucky, I get to sweep the store or clean the bathrooms. Yippee!
4) They schedule me on the worst days and then wonder why I have trouble showing up on time.
5) Theres this manager that suddenly hates me for no apparant reason and now she does everything she can to make my life miserable.
6) I drew ONE THING for the store because I was bored and now the corporate office thinks I'm amazing and wants me to do all these murals and designs for the entire store. Kill me now, please.
7) My paychecks usually bring in crap. I'm constantly watching my account because they give me less and less hours. Good for now, bad for later.

Okay, one more rant and I'll let you go about your business. Now, my parents have taken me to church as far back as I can remember. In my household, you can't HELP but be a Christian. So recently, I've had some issues with this fact. I've diverged from the faith and yet my parents are still pushing me to go to church and all this crap. It's completely retarded. I'm so sick of religion being forced at me. I really have a problem with the way things are run around there. They try to make it seem like they're not forcing it at you or that they won't think any different of you when you disregard it, but they do. They're always watching and waiting to see if you're join their little group, and if you fake it and do, they are good friends with you and let you go to all their happy and wholesome church events. But if you drop it like I did, they make you a friend at length. They act all nice but then they try and keep you on the outside, lest you infect their perfect little community with your infectious evil little behavior. Not all are like this, but even the coolest of church-goers are guilty of this. (No offense to you readers who go to chuch. I would not be your friend if you were actually like that.) And that is why I quit. Or want to. My parents are stubborn like that. Anybody else in this situation?

Quick question: Who here likes MMORPGs? No, it's okay. I'm a nerd like that too. If anyone does, I want you to sign up for a really good one called "Ragnarok Online." It's fun. I've been playing it for a while and it works as a great help-me-not-to-think-about-the-crap-going-on-in-my-life drug. And it's perscription free! Linkzorz --> here. Go to "Download & Installation" on the sidebar. Then contact me and I'll tell you all about it.

NO! I'm not an MMORPG nerd! How dare you!?

Uhm... HELLO???

Mood: Smug, Sarcastic and Bitter

*EDIT:* If you missed the Music Video that was playing when I posted this, you can see it here.
Artist: Panic! At The Disco
Song: I Write Sins Not Tragedies
*/EDIT*

Yeah... I got two comments. And one of them was "Hi, David!" Uh, hi, Katelyn. I'm sure you could say something a bit more profound, no? And the rest of you. You disgust me. And you know why? Because you refuse to comment on my meaningless shit while I sit here and refuse to comment on yours. What? You callin' me hypocritical? Nooooo...

I just got back from the Panic! At The Disco concert, thus the band's one and only music video. It's pretty fun. I really like the song and the effect of the painted eyes on the people. I also think it's funny how Brendon Urie (Main singer and guy in tophat) takes a whole My Chemical Romance stance in the music video. Let me tell you, he gives a kick-ass performance live. His facial expressions are priceless. I wonder if he wrote those lyrics...

Oh yeah, there were a couple of other bands there: Acceptance, which I gotta download some music from, they were pretty cool, uh, and there was hellogoodbye,  whom I've been listening to for a while now. They were really fun because of how indie and crazy they were. They had a guy in a Chewbacca suit and a hotdog suit dancing on stage. It was pretty awesome. They've got hella good music, but the videos tend to be aimed towards 14-year-old girls, so I'll pass on that for now. And there was the headlining band, The Academy Is. It was funny cuz the people hyped them up to be the most celebrated band on the planet, but really, everyone was just there for Panic! At The Disco. We didn't even stay for their whole performance, though they weren't all that bad. Pizza Hut was better at the time, however.

So setting music aside for a moment, I think I ought to ramble a bit... Heh, I wonder who actually reads my ramblings instead of skimming them and typing a quick "Hi, David!" comment. Hah, okay, I'll stop making fun of you a moment, Katelyn. Back to being deep/emo then. Well, I was listening to the "Love Line" recently on 96.5 The Buzz. You know, they go on and on about how this guy should or should not date this girl whose 9+ years older than he is. It's all trash, but it really made me think. Why do people go through such troubles to make love work? Why do do that? It's like your body sends tiny signals to your brain that says, "No, you make sure this chick stays with you forever and ever, cuz if it's not her, you're screwed for life." Hm... now that I say that out loud. perhaps everyone  is not like that, just those who find it so rarely. It's like you find some sort of drug that you've said you won't do (because the fact that you could not obtain it) but then when some of it falls into your hands, you become extra cautious and clingy with it. And then, the best part is when you know they don't like clingy, so you try and compensate by gauging every single movement to make sure that your not being clingy. And then you turn it into a whole game. And that is certainly not how it is meant to be. So then when the fakeness sinks in, it's broken off and your left with your own misery and confusion of "why it did not work." And this is the life of the non-attractive kid. The world is so cold like that. You can't win. Someday, I'd like to find the guy who coined the phrase, "You can succeed if you do your best!" and punch him in the goddam face. I'm sure half the people across the globe would be in a line behind me too.

You can expect long posts like this. But word of warning to you:
DON'T POST A COMMENT UNLESS YOU'VE READ WHAT I HAVE TO SAY. Nothing pisses me off more than some 1000mph net surfer fitting time in their busy internet schedule by typing some sort of greeting or irrelevent statement in the comments. If you have nothing to say, please migrate to a different xanga where you can comment about juicy gossip on Jimmy's newest girlfriend. God, that kind of triteness annoys me.

~Just for the record / the weather today / is slightly sarcastic with a good chance of:
A) Indifference / B) Disinterest / in what the critics say~
